Our house

A meeting of two traditions, set for Paris.

In the heart of the IXth, Phở 98 brings together the finesse of Vietnam and the depth of Sichuan Chinese flavors, in a setting conceived as a grand salon — sculpted golden bar, tufted banquettes and crystal cascade on the ceiling.

Every service tells this double heritage. At lunch, our set menus around phở and bobun capture the elegance of a brasserie. At dinner and on weekends, the menu expands to hot pots, fish in sauerkraut broth and spicy specialties from Chongqing.

Phở 98 in the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris

At 45 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, Phở 98 opens a Vietnamese and Chinese table in one of the liveliest districts of Paris. Between Grands Boulevards, rue Cadet and Richelieu-Drouot, our 9th-arrondissement restaurant offers a modern reading of Southeast Asian cuisine: phở simmered daily, fragrant bobun, Sichuan hot pots and Chongqing specialties. Sophie Zhan, founder, signs a menu that follows the two rhythms of a Parisian brasserie — light lunch sets, more daring evening dishes, service seven days a week.

Pho, bobun and Vietnamese signatures in Paris 9th

Phở is the beating heart of the house. Slowly clarified broth, marinated beef, fresh rice noodles: every bowl is plated to order in the golden salon of Phở 98. At lunch, our sets spotlight a phở bò or phở ga served with a starter and dessert — a quick yet careful midday meal a short walk from Opéra Garnier. In the evening, the menu expands with signature phở tai and seasonal variations. Bobun lovers find a refined version with sweet-and-sour sautéed beef, crispy spring rolls and rice vermicelli, available for dine-in or takeaway. To deepen your choice, browse our full online menu, updated with every new arrival.

Sichuan cuisine and Chongqing flavours on Faubourg Montmartre

Evenings and weekends leave room for the bolder dishes of Chongqing and Sichuan: braised beef brisket hot pot, fish in sauerkraut broth, chicken with Sichuan peppercorns, flame-sautéed greens. This signature cuisine sets Phở 98 apart from other Vietnamese restaurants in Paris — a deliberate double identity where Vietnamese soups meet large Chinese hot pots. Lovers of spicy food find here a rare address in Paris 9th, with heat levels tuned plate by plate. A table set like a grand Parisian salon

The decor of Phở 98 deliberately departs from the usual codes of Asian cuisine. Sculpted golden bar, midnight-blue velvet banquettes, crystal cascade, antique mirrors: our forty-seat room was designed as a Haussmannian Parisian salon, nodding to the history of Faubourg Montmartre and the covered passages of the 9th. This setting makes Phở 98 a natural choice for a dinner for two, a meal with friends, a business lunch near Grands Boulevards or a private event. To feel the atmosphere before coming, explore our Salon gallery, refreshed service after service.
